I just wanted to update our great Southern District LERT volunteers on the current conditions that I am aware of. At the moment, we have multiple churches in both Louisiana and Mississippi that are without power. To my knowledge, no church buildings were damaged by falling trees. We do have trees down on church properties, but from what I understand, have not hit the facilities. At some point, we may need skilled LERT chainsaw operators to help with cleanup operations. But due to the weather conditions and the road conditions, that will not take place right now. Stay tuned for more announcements about recovery efforts and updates from this winter's ice storm.
