On July 12, District President Heath Curtis will be preaching at Immanuel Lutheran in Murphysboro at the 9:00 a.m. service. Immediately following the service, he will dedicate the new Southern Illinois District disaster response trailer for service to our Lord.
Following that will be a short bible class, and then a potluck luncheon. The meat for the potluck will be supplied by the Immanuel LERT team (pulled pork sandwiches).
All LERT-trained volunteers in the Southern Illinois District are invited to attend the worship service, the dedication, and the pot-luck lunch. After lunch, you will be able to visit with President Curtis and see the District's new disaster-response equipment.
We ask all LERT volunteers to wear their yellow T-shirt or vest that day. If you need a new t-shirt, you can order one from the LCMS Disaster Response office for $15.00. Contact Maria.Winsborough@lcms.org.
