The Southeastern District will host a 2nd Disaster Response Conference at the Ocean Reef Hotel Myrtle Beach SC March 10-12, 2022. Sessions will include LERT and Chainsaw Training as well as "Mudslinging", Developing a Local Congregation Readiness Plan, First Aid Trauma Training, Getting Younger Generations Involved, and a Different Kind of Disaster: the pandemic's mental health impact.
On Saturday, the Conference moves outdoors to Holy Lamb Lutheran Church where participants will have the opportunity to take classes in Trauma First Aid, Tree-cutting, and Operating a Tractor.
Two Response Trailers will be available for participants to look at as well as the new mobile bunkhouse and "Sally" the tractor.
