For most parts of the country, any news about the Hurricane Ian recovery in the media is non-existent. Out of sight, out of mind and on to the next "new" news. Unfortunately, recovery is far from being over here in the Lee County (Ft. Myers) area.
There are still a great many unmet needs. Houses that still need to be mucked out. Trees needing cutting. FEMA temporary housing is running out, resulting in thousands of people being kicked out of any temporary housing and becoming newly homeless.
Zion Lutheran Church is still distributing supplies to the community.
