What: Chainsaw tree cleanup
Where: Jennings, FL (Call for address)
When: Saturday, September 30, 2023 (one-day event)
Time: 9:00 am until finished
Positions Needed:
- LERT Chainsaw operators (must be trained)
- Bobcat MT100 mini-track loader operator
- “Runners” – people to move cut branches a short distance to piles
- Safety Officer – monitors volunteers for safety
Description of Work: Family needs assistance cutting and removing trees and branches from 4 trees. Debris will be stacked for removal. Logs and branches will be moved into piles so the Florida-Georgia Lutheran Early Response Bobcat can pick up the piles for moving to the collection pile.
NO BACKGROUND CHECK NEEDED
Bring:
- Water/drinks
- Lunch/snacks
- Chair so you can take rest breaks in the shade
- Rain gear – we will work unless there is lightning
- Work boots – open-toed shoes/sandals/flip-flops are NOT allowed, steel-toed recommended
- Sun screen
- Bug spray
