A Basic Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) training class will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 801 Washington Ave, Lowden, IA on January 14, 2023.
Participants will be introduced to the LCMS Disaster Response program and learn the basic nature of disasters, the opportunities to respond to personal needs in such disasters and how as Christians can support families, congregations and the public, as the hands and feet of Jesus during trying times. Other class topics include Christian care in times of disasters, a ministry of presence, safety, and types of service and support in disasters.
Class participants will receive a training manual, ID badge, and Tshirt. Registrations should be completed by 1/1, 2023.
