On Saturday, March 4, 2023, Grace Lutheran Church, 9076 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923 will host Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) training. Participants will be introduced to the LCMS Disaster Response Program, learn the basic nature of disasters, the opportunity to respond to personal needs and how Lutherans can support families, congregations, and their communities as the hands and feet of Jesus.
In the aftermath of a disaster, it is crucial to stay focused on the task at hand. The most important factor of our LERT Volunteer training is MERCY! The training will equip you to be and effective volunteer. Basic LERT Training is mandatory for all volunteers.
The class fee is $15.00 per person. Each participant will have to create their own account by going to LCMS-LERT.org, sidebar Trainings and Deployments, and complete your information. It is very important that you make note of your password so we can sign you in the morning of the class. After you have created your account go back to trainings and deployments and sign up for the class. Your LERT Trainer will distribute all materials before and after the class.
Lunch will be provided. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
