As a part of the Fall Cleanup Day at Lutheran Island Camp, this deployment is specifically for LERT trained and qualified chainsaw operators.
While there will be other groups participating in the spring cleanup day on the island, this deployment is only for those who have completed LERT chainsaw training. This is NOT a training day for chainsaw operation.
- Participants should bring (if they have them):
- Chainsaw, bar oil, gas/oil or synthetic fuel mix,
- Chaps and other Personal Protective Equipment (helmet, eye protection, ear protectors, gloves, and steel-toe boots).
- Participants must wear steel-toed boots.
- Outdoor work clothes and boots appropriate for the weather at the time.
Work will consist of tree, branch and debris removal. Wood will be blocked and stacked for later use. Branches and debris will be stacked for removal.
Arrive at the site by 8:15am to sign in. Deployment will begin at 8:30am and conclude between 4:00 and 5:00pm
Lunch will be provided.
