LERT volunteers are needed to pick up debris in farmer's fields and yards from a recent tornado. All volunteers are required to wear sturdy boots, work gloves and a yellow LERT shirt or vest. This work will include picking up assorted debris and placing the debris in specified piles or in a provided dumpster.
The local disaster response manager is in the process of arranging lunch. All volunteers should bring their own water.
Redeemer Lutheran Church in Potosi will have its doors open by 7:30am on Saturday morning for restroom breaks and coffee with to-go-cups available. We will meet at Redeemer and all drive to the disaster site by 8:00am.
As we may encounter personal belongings in the debris background checks will be required.
The site supervisor plans to be at Redeemer by 7:30am and we need to leave for the disaster site by 7:40am.
