St. Paul’s Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) will be hosting a one‑day Mercy Effort on February 14th to help fell and remove two trees, and volunteers are needed.
Participants should arrive with appropriate PPE, including steel‑toe boots, eye & ear protection, and chaps. Additional protective gear will be provided on site.
Anyone operating a chainsaw or assisting directly with brush removal must have the proper certifications, and those who are chainsaw‑certified and interested in additional training will have a great opportunity to sharpen their skills.
Support is also needed to pull the dump trailer, load and unload brush, rake, and complete the final cleanup of the site.
Lunch, water, and Gatorade will be available for all helpers.
