Local LERT Chainsaw and debris removal Volunteers needed!
The Oklahoma District Disaster
Response Team has assessed the damages from the wind damage on April 29, 2025 and have reported significant damage to two properties west of Claremore. This is straight line wind damage of 60+ mph that downed half of a large tree previously damaged by lighting.
The back yard of one property containing the tree crown will need manual labor to drag or wheelbarrow debris to the curbside. The second property will need portions of a fence removed to allow access of a skid steer for debris removal to curbside. The City of Claremore has mandated that debris must be cut to 4'-6' lengths for removal to a private mulch site.
All volunteers are requested to meet at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 220 N Seminole Ave, Claremore, OK at 8:00 am.
All volunteers must register on the LERT website and select their preferred days to work.
Sunday, May 4 will be a day of rest and worship. Work will continue on Monday.
