This deployment is continued debris cleanup operations from the June 17 derecho in NE Oklahoma. The homeowner gracefully offered to postpone cleanup until fall due to extreme heat. However, due to conditions associated with the insurance company the work must be performed the week of August 21.
The work requires chainsaw operations to cut and remove the debris close to a building to permit repairs. We will need four (4) volunteers to assist in the mercy work moving the debris to a burn pile or cutup for firewood.
Our plan is to use chainsaws and heavy equipment to lessen the burden to volunteers.
This will be an early operation to minimize risks of heat related injuries.
We will meet at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Skiatook, OK for carpool to worksite.
