Housing Details
Team members will be on-site at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Greenvile SC to do tree removal. In addition, there are several homes in the neighborhood who are requesting assistance with chainsaw work.
Equipment:
Bring your own chainsaw equipment & PPE, and tractor.
Only those 18 and old, who have gone through the LERT Chainsaw training, may operate a chainsaw or work as a puller.
Background checks are required for this deployment.
All volunteers must be LERT trained – training will be done on site if needed.
Health Precautions:
· North Carolina has a variety of temperatures – please bring appropriate clothes.
· Proper personal protective equipment (PPE): hardhat, eye and hearing protection, protective chaps, gloves must be worn when operating or working near a chainsaw.
· Sturdy, steel-toed work boots are required. Tennis shoes and open-toed shoes are not allowed on work sites.
· Long pants are required.
