Trinity Lutheran, Tryon NC experienced significance flooding during Hurricane Helene. Muck-out and debris removal is mostly finished. They are now ready to restore/rebuild.
In this phase of rebuild, work will consist of:
* Repairing/replacing speaker and microphone wiring in the crawlspace;
* Spraying mold abatement (e.g. "Shock Wave" or similar product) on floor joists and bottom of subfloor (crawlspace);
* Insulating the bottom of the subfloor (crawlspace);
* Pouring two concrete pads for dehumidifiers (crawlspace);
* Running 120v wiring to dehumidifiers (crawlspace);
* Removing a damaged deck and preparing area for future replacement (outside)
* Removing mud/sand/gravel between two buildings (outside)
* Replacing termite-damaged studs (inside)
* Insulating exterior walls, installing wallboard, taping, mudding and painting wallboard (inside)
* Preparing (scraping/sanding/leveling) subfloor to receive new flooring (inside);
* Trim and paint (inside).
* There may be an opportunity to chunk and remove some downed trees in the yard of a congregation member and one of the neighbors. If you are LCMS chainsaw trained, please bring a saw and proper protective gear.
Housing and meals will be at Mt. Pisgah, Hendersonville NC. Bring bedding and toiletries.
