Hope Lutheran Church, Wake Forest, NC, will host a first aid training for LERT volunteers on Saturday, August 27, 2022. The location of the training will be 3525 Rogers Rd., Wake Forest, NC, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There is no charge for the training.
The training will be conducted by a member of Hope who works as a registered nurse. Attendees will be trained in injury prevention, volunteer health considerations and first aid for minor injuries and illnesses that might occur while on a disaster response work site.
LERT volunteers in the Southeastern District are encouraged to attend this training, which is geared for non-medical personnel primarily.
This training comprises Module 1 in a series of disaster relief medical training opportunities which will be offered at Hope over the coming months.
Module 2: CPR/AED training 10/29/22 9am-11am
Module 3: Trauma medical training for disaster responders (Stop the Bleed/splinting and similar)--date TBA
