Hope Lutheran Church, Wake Forest, NC, will host a trauma medical training geared toward disaster response volunteers on Saturday, January 21, 2023. The location of the training will be 3525 Rogers Rd., Wake Forest, NC, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost of the training is $25 per person. Lunch will be provided.
The training will be conducted by a flight paramedic and flight nurse from our community. The training will cover many topics such as Stop the Bleed/tourniquet techniques, wound packing, splinting, head/spinal injuries, first aid kits and much more! Attendees will have opportunities for hands-on practice with techniques during scenarios. Wear clothing that can get messy.
Disaster response volunteers in the Southeastern District are encouraged to attend this training, which is geared for non-medical personnel primarily.
