No flood clean-up experience needed. Many hands are needed. Please direct others to this sign-up so that we can communicate additional details directly to volunteers as information is known.
Deployment address is not the church address listed on this announcement. Work address will be provided to you by team lead Kris Schuldt.
Volunteers should wear:
Muck boots
Long pants
Long-sleeved shirts
Multiple sets of work gloves
For those who need lodging, St. Peter's Lutheran in Conover, NC has graciously offered to house volunteers. They have plenty of space for you to bring an air mattress or cot. There are multiple showers on site, and they have functional utilities. They are just over an hour from the first worksite, so this is something to bear in mind. If you have friends/family/other housing options in the area, you are welcome to make alternate arrangements as well. *Note clearly in your registration if you need lodging at St. Peter's.*
It is best if volunteers bring sack lunches.
Bring plenty of water and bug repellant.
LERT background checks will be required for all volunteers.
