It is anticipated that we will conduct demolition and mold mitigation on the first day of the deployment. On the second day, we will install new insulation and drywall and begin taping and mudding. Plumbing and Electrical work will be conducted by professionals. All volunteers are encouraged to wear yellow LERT shirts or vests. Most of the tools necessary to conduct this work will be provided. If a volunteer wants to bring their own tools, that is ok. Sturdy work boots and work gloves are required. Lunch, water and Gatorade will be provided. Enables volunteers to be received at disaster clean-up sites. Prepares groups to serve on a local team that stands ready to respond when disasters occur and when victims of storm damage need assistance. This event helps fill a gap in the number of LERT teams needed, specifically in the St. Louis, Mo. area and the surrounding counties of the Missouri District. The $15 per-person registration fee covers supper, training materials, a certificate, and LERT volunteer T-shirt. Your LERT Trainer will distribute the credentials and t-shirt several weeks after the class. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and coffee, water and soda will be available.
