Work will include, demolition and removal, construction of short new walls, insulation and drywall installation, construction of a new ADA shower, replacing the tile floor, painting the walls and adding new siding where the window was. Plumbing and Electrical work will be conducted by professionals. All volunteers are encouraged to wear yellow LERT shirts or vests. Most of the tools necessary to conduct this work will be provided. If a volunteer wants to bring their own tools, that is ok. Sturdy work boots and work gloves are required. Lunch, water and Gatorade will be provided. We will meet at the home of the work instead of the listed church. Site supervisor will provide the address to the volunteers that sign up. It is located in St. Charles County. This is NOT a training day for chainsaw operation. Participants should bring (if they have them):Chainsaw, bar oil, gas/oil or synthetic fuel mix, Chaps and other Personal Protective Equipment (helmet, eye protection, ear protectors, gloves, and steel-toe boots).
