Deployments now in the system!
Deployments will be coming asap with start dates of July 15, but for your planning purposes we will be needing the following:
* Will host a basic LERT training on July 19 starting at 1 pm at First English Lutheran in Spencer, IA.
Trained LERT volunteers to work in Hawarden IA - Sleeping spots and showers in a nearby church, however volunteers need to be self-sufficient with cots/air mattress and bedding. There will still be some muck & gut, power washing, and sanitizing work...then moving into dry wall work. Some meals may be provided, still a work in progress as this is a smaller community. (26 homes, church basement, and parsonage basement currently on our work list)
Trained LERT volunteers to work in Spencer IA - Beds and showers provided at Camp Okoboji, volunteers will need to bring own bedding. Breakfast and supper provided at camp, lunch at/by First English Lutheran in Spencer. Muck & gut, power wash, sanitize, and dry wall work still needs to be done. (approx 70 homes, including both pastors' basements and Christ the King Lutheran basement on our work list).
