LERT STANDBY Update, Trees damage in Perry County

We have completed assessments and are working on the details of the deployment. It is likely that it will be all day Friday January 24 and all day Saturday January 25. Housing is available at Trinity Lutheran School gym in Altenburg. Background checks will be required. Meals are in the works. The ask for this potential deployment will be for LERT qualified chainsaw operators and for LERT volunteers to work as draggers for moving the limbs and trunks to the road or to a driveway and loading them in a dump truck. The truck will be provided by a local business. Volunteers will meet each morning at Saxon Lutheran Memorial. Please watch the system for the deployment notice.
