On our recent deployment to clean up downed trees and limbs around Frohna and Altenburg we had 8 work orders. We mostly completed 5 of the 8 work orders. The remaining 3 do not have a high urgency for safety reasons. There are also several high widow makers that we can not reach without a lift. This is a heads up that Brian and I are in the early stages of planning and scheduling a return trip deployment within the next few months.
In conjunction with our planning for a second chainsaw trip to the area we are also planning for the next phase of our Saxon Memorial partnership activities. The new stage is high on the list. Next is the office/store space and the third idea is placing a pea gravel sidewalk to the Confirmation bldg.
For the new stage, our thoughts are to set the piers and construct the deck the last part of March/first part of April. We are looking for a few volunteers that would be interested in attending a one day planning/design meeting at Saxon to draw up plans for the stage. It will be a 20' x 40' or 20' x 50' platform with preparations for a future back wall and maybe a roof later. Please contact me if you are interested and available for this unscheduled future meeting.
The office/store space will need the fake brick flooring tore up and something installed in its place. Some wall painting and some general rearranging and cleaning in preparation for an upcoming retreat.
The pea gravel sidewalk to the Confirmation bldg will be designed and constructed to reduce the mud being brought in on shoes.
We will have housing in the Trinity school gym available and there are a few RV hookup sites around the area.
As we firm up the schedule and plans we will post a deployment.
