All LERT volunteers: a deployment will be posted soon in the Kansas District for volunteers to help with Tornado damage in a community near Kansas City, Kansas. There are 4 small Lutheran churches in the community that have requested help. Please watch the Kansas District notices for when and where the disaster response will be. They are in the process of conducting assessments and setting up housing. It is anticipated the deployment MAY begin on Thursday August 27th and last for a week. Chainsaw operators, pullers and draggers will be needed. The deployment notice will contain the actual dates, times and details.
