Powerful tornadoes rip through Mississippi last night, March 24, 2023. The Southern District LCMS is evaluating the needs of her congregations in the affected area to see if a large response is needed. As always, we need to be patient and allow the life savers, our first responders, and the power companies time to enter the affected area without volunteers being present. As a former Alabama Power Company lineman, I know firsthand how too much traffic in a disaster zone hinders the recovery.
