For all of the MO LERT chainsaw teams that are on standby for the possible deployment in Bollinger County after the recent tornado. I spent the morning in Glennallen hearing about the response from their command center regarding the need for workers.
At this point, state and local officials have an organized initial response with a strong presence of local volunteers. We do not need to publicize a MO district LERT deployment response at this time. I will keep everyone informed and updated if a future response is needed.
I will be contacting my resource with the Bollinger county sheriff department over the next several weeks and if there is an additional need for LERT teams a new announcement or deployment will be created as needed.
