Washington County, IL was hit with high winds Friday evening, June 30, 2023. These winds have brought many tree limbs down as well as some trees up-rooted.
Local congregations in communities that have been affected (seven) are being asked to announce to their members that a Southern Illinois District disaster response is being assembled.
At this time, a local response only is being put together for Monday July, 3, and Tuesday, July 4, to provide assistance. We are looking for 8-10 volunteers. If you can respond, please go to the Training and Deployment page and sign-up.
Depending on the response on Sunday, this response may be extended, as well as non-local volunteers may be asked to respond.
