Description
A Basic LERT Training class will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1419 East Ave, Holdrege, NE 68949 on April 1, 2023. The class is for new or reviewing participants. During the class, participants will be introduced to the LCMS Disaster Response program and learn the basic nature of disasters, the opportunities to respond to personal needs in such disasters and how as Christians, can support families, congregations and the public, as the hands and feet of Jesus, during these trying times. Other class topics include Christian care in times of disasters, a ministry of presence, safety, and types of service and support in disasters.
A registration fee of $30 per person will cover the cost of lunch, snacks, training materials, and LERT T-shirt. Please send your registration fee to Nebraska District LCMS Office, 152 S Columbia, Ave., Seward, NE 68434 and note "LERT Training April 1, 2023" on your check. Participants are encouraged to pre-register before March 20, 2023 so we have the proper materials for everyone.
