Chainsaw Team Deployment

On Sunday, November 3, 2024 unexpected tornadoes devastated the community of Choctaw, Oklahoma. Emergency officials estimate that 15 to 20 homes are now total losses in the community. Large trees were uprooted and volunteers are needed for chainsaw work and clearing debris of fallen trees.

The Host Church and Operation Center is:

Redeemer Lutheran Church, 39307 W. MacArthur St., Shawnee, OK.

Lodging will be provided at an Airbnb residence sleeping six. All volunteers staying overnight must contact the site manager to confirm accommodations.

The site manager (supervisor) will be Mr. Don Kelle reached at 1-580-767-0174.

LERT background check is required for volunteers.

The Oklahoma District equipment trailer will provide chainsaws, equipment and PPE for local volunteers.

Chainsaw operators must have steel toed boot.

Personal toiletries will be needed.

Breakfast and lunches will be provided.
