A clean-up activity has been scheduled following a recent devastating home fire in Wake Forest, NC.
The fire resulted in a total loss of a family's home, and the family needs assistance doing some small-scale demolition work to a metal carport structure and some other items at their home. A dumpster will be located at the site, but assistance loading items into the dumpster is needed.
This work is scheduled from 730a-1230p on Saturday, 12APR. If rained out, the rescheduled date would be at the same time slot one week later on 19APR.
The home is located at:
3692 Lalla Ct
Wake Forest, NC 27587
What to bring:
PPE - safety glasses, ear protection (grinding/cutting thin metal tends to be very noisy), heavy duty gloves, safety toe shoes, and a hard hat if working under any compromised overhead structure.
Clothing - wear clothing that you don't mind getting absolutely filthy! Fire cleanup is dirty work.
Tools - prybars/crowbars, small sledgehammers, drills for fastener removal, Sawzall/reciprocating saws with metal cutting blades. spare batteries, extension cords (power available from neighbors house)
Other - water, snacks/lunch is not expected to be provided so make sure to bring your own
