Early in the morning of June 18 Camp Lutherhoma was struck by a small tornado causing significant damage to many large mature trees. The camp director estimates as many as 50 trees have been toppled.
LERT Qualified Chainsaw operators, pullers, draggers and LERT volunteer general labor are needed. Oklahoma District will provide a skid steer. Additional skid steers/tractors with grapple would be beneficial.
Most of the camp is without electricity however air-conditioned cabins with bunkbeds are available for sleeping. Volunteers will need to bring bedding and linens. All meals will be provided as will water and snacks. A limited amount of PPE is available. It is recommended that volunteers bring their own equipment and PPE.
A strong response is required to minimize the amount of time the camp is closed
