LERT Deployment, Post-flood cleanup, near Willmar, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Willmar MN, 10-14-2025

The Willmar, Minn., area experienced flooding in mid-June.  There are still individual homes that need cleanup. On Tuesday, October 14, we are cleaning our basement that had minimal blackwater backup.  There is no standing water at this time. The homeowner has arranged for a dumpster.  Volunteers will be hauling boxes and various materials out of the basement for disposal in the dumpster. Masks are recommended as there may be mold present (some are available but bring your own if you have one with a filter rated for mold).Meet at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot of Redeemer Lutheran Church. We will  collaborate with CERT-trained volunteers on this project.  Because this involves working within a home, background checks are required.  If you have not previously completed a background check, please do this on your LERT account as soon as possible (no fee for LERT volunteers.  Cost is paid by LCMS-LERT).
