Local LERT Chainsaw and debris removal volunteers needed!
On Monday, October 20, 2025, heavy winds bifurcated a large oak tree in the front yard of a resident of Pryor, Oklahoma. One half of the tree fell onto the homeowner's lawn, ripped from the main body, obscuring outdoor appointments. The remaining half of the tree remains upright, though weak and unstable.
The scope of work includes cutting the portion resting on the ground into segments to an appropriate size for hauling to the local landfill. The portion standing will need to be felled, bucked and limbed for hauling to the waste site.
Redeemer Lutheran Church will be the host church supporting the mercy work with breakfast at 8:00 am. After breakfast, the teams will continue traveling to the homeowner's address to work the remaining shift.
All volunteers must register on the LERT website.
