The purpose of this event is to give participants an opportunity to serve their neighbor with the love of Christ by caring for their physical needs and helping with tree work and debris removal.
Description of work:
This project will involve tree work and debris removal, related to Hurricane Helene storm recovery in the Spartanburg, SC area.
IMPORTANT NOTES
LERT background checks are required for this Deployment because we are working in people's homes. The LCMS LERT system will take you to the Sterling Volunteers site to get your background check (no cost to LERT volunteers) when you sign up for this LERT Deployment.

Housing Details:
- Bunkbeds will be provided
- Bring bedding and towels...
- Shower provided
- Participants will be responsible for their own meals.
What you need to bring:
- Personal PPE and required equipment
- Clothing appropriate for the season
- Toiletries and prescription medications
- Sturdy shoes or work boots (required for carrying drywall on stairs with removed carpet/materials)
- Work gloves
- Protective eyewear
- Long pants (jeans) and work shirts (including socks, etc.)
- Bedding and towels
