Description

This training class is intended for LERT team members and other first responders, but any church members are welcome to join. This class will cover major trauma response. It does not count toward anyone's continuing education and will not provide a certification.

Instructor: Michael McCay, with a video from Dr. Stanton Elseroad. It is based on the U.S. Military TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) curriculum.

Pneumothorax (sucking chest wound)

Shock

Threat assessment

Triage

Splinting

Patient transportation

LERT members who have a tourniquet may want to bring it as a refresher on use instructions.

Lunch is not provided, but we will have a few drinks and snacks.
