The purpose of this event is to give participants an opportunity to serve their neighbor with the love of Christ by caring for their physical needs and helping with tree work and debris removal.
Description of work:
This project will involve tree work and debris removal, related to Winter Storm Fern and storm recovery in the Nashville, TN area.
IMPORTANT NOTES
LERT background checks are required for this Deployment because we are working in people's homes. The LCMS LERT system will take you to the Sterling Volunteers site to get your background check (no cost to LERT volunteers) when you sign up for this LERT Deployment.

Housing Details:
- Please bring an air mattress or cot
- Bring bedding and towels...
- Shower provided offsite at a local gym
- Meals are being coordinated through the host church.
What you need to bring:
- Personal PPE and required equipment if you have it
- Clothing appropriate for the season
- Toiletries and prescription medications
- Sturdy shoes or work boots (required for chainsaw usage)
- Work gloves
- Protective eyewear
- Long pants (jeans) and work shirts (including socks, etc.)
- Bedding and towels
