As a part of the Spring Cleanup Day at Lutheran Island Camp. This deployment consists of two types of volunteers.
Basic LERT Trained Volunteers
- Will participate in the general Spring cleanup on the island.
- Arrive at the site by 8:00 am to sign in. Deployment will begin at 8:30 am and conclude between 4:00 and 5:00 pm
- Lunch, snacks and water will be provided.
LERT Trained Chainsaw Operators
Chainsaw Operators must have completed Basic LERT Chainsaw Training.
Chainsaw Operators should bring the following:
- Chainsaw, bar oil, gas/oil or synthetic fuel mix,
- Chaps and other Personal Protective Equipment (helmet, eye protection, ear protectors, gloves, and steel-toe boots).
- Participants must wear steel-toed boots.
- Outdoor work clothes and boots appropriate for the weather at the time.
Work will consist of tree, branch and debris removal. Wood will be blocked and stacked for later use. Branches and debris will be stacked for removal.
