Prepare to serve your neighbors and show Christ’s love when disaster strikes. This training will introduce participants to the LCMS Disaster Response program, congregational preparedness, and the work of Lutheran Early Response Teams.
The session will also equip individuals to join our volunteer corps responding to the Menasha tornado and to serve in future disaster responses. Anyone interested may attend; LCMS members age 14 and older are eligible to become LCMS disaster-response volunteers.
Peace Lutheran Church in Neenah will host the training. It will also be our base of operations for our Menasha activation.
Individuals (over 18) that intend to deploy on overnights, work with children, or enter an someone's house must have an annual background check, to complete the background check.
