LERT Chainsaw and debris removal Volunteers needed! Bryce Cramer with the Southern Illinois District Disaster Response Team has assessed the damages from the tornadoes on 10/24 and is asking for qualified Chainsaw Operators and others interested in assisting with debris removal to come to help with the recovery within and around the Chester, IL area.
At this time, volunteers are asked to be self-sufficient, in that they provide their own food each day, lodging [if needed], and equipment - unless otherwise determined in consultation with the site-coordinator.
All volunteers are requested to report at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester, IL at 8am. Only registered volunteers will be allowed to participate!
