LERT (Lutheran Early Response Team) Training Event, for new or renewing/reviewing volunteer certification. Enables volunteers to be received at disaster clean up sites. Prepares groups to be on a local team that stands prepared to respond when disasters happen and where victims of storm damage are in need of assistance. This event serves to fill a gap of needed LERT team(s), specifically in the southeast area of the Missouri District.
A registration fee of $25 per person will pay for training materials, certification documentation, onsite LERT volunteer T-shirt (the normal $35 fee has been offset by a generous grant Thrivent Action Grant).
Please send registration fees to "Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel", 1904 W. Cape Rock Dr., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
