Immanuel Lutheran Church, Murphysboro, IL, will be hosting a trauma training for LERT volunteers on Saturday, October 15, 2022. This training will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1915 Pine St. Murphysboro, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There is no charge for the training.
The training will be conducted by representatives from Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) who operate several hospitals and facilities in southern Illinois. Attendees will be trained in dealing with the types of injuries that one might encounter while doing tree and debris cleanup from wind related events, hurricanes, tornadoes, straight line winds, derechos, etc.
All LERT volunteers in the Southern Illinois District, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod are encouraged to attend this training. Even if you are not chainsaw trained, you, your team, your family and others will benefit from your knowledge of how to deal with a traumatic injury.
