The Mid-South District will provide Basic Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) training on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Hope Lutheran Chruch, 2415 E Main St, Batesville, AR 72501. Basic LERT training is mandatory for those who want to serve after a natural/local disaster. The District wants to equip LERT members with the ability to provide this service safely and efficiently.
During the training you will learn the following:

Congregational Preparedness
Proclamation of the Word During Disaster
What is LERT
After a Disaster
The session will begin at 9:00 until noon at which time we will break for lunch. We will resume the session at 12:45 pm.
Participants must create an account by going to LCMS-LERT. org. Once you have completed setting up your account make sure you keep a record of your password, you will need it to sign into the class that morning. After you have your account set up the next step is to register for the class by going into Trainings and Deployments. This allows me to know who is signing up and how many openings are left. The cost is $15 per person.
Your LERT Trainer will distribute all class materials before and after the class. The class maximum is 25 people.
