LERT Chainsaw and debris removal Volunteers are needed! We are asking for qualified LERT chainsaw Operators, pullers and stackers to assist with removal of 6 trees and some trimming of other damaged trees at Camp Luther, 1050 Road 4, Schuyler, NE. 68661
Only registered LERT volunteers will be allowed to participate.
All volunteers must register at http://www.lcms-lert.org
4 or 5 - LERT chainsaw operators must provide their own equipment, gas and bar oil and PPE.
4 or 5 - Pullers and stackers need not have PPE, but should dress as listed below.
Personal Protection Equipment & Gear includes:
1. Sturdy shoes with a good solid sole & socks - no sandals, flipflops, or sneakers.
2. Long pants
3. Long sleeved shirt (recommended)
4. Hard hat of ball cap
5. Safety glasses/eye protection
6. Sturdy work gloves
7. Rain gear if you have it (weather is unsettled and rain may be possible)
All LERT volunteers are requested to report at Camp Luther on 05/28/2024 at 8:30am.
Water and lunch will be provided.
